DEDICATED
it’s easy to be DEDICATED
to something we LOVE
we are totally PASSIONATE about it
and DISCIPLINE comes easily
but are we daring enough
to FOLLOW our HEARTS
rather than the crowd
interesting…
sometimes we may be
extremely PASSIONATE
about something we LOVE
but…it’s just not popular
hmmm…
are we too busy keeping others happy
or do we
FOLLOW our SPIRIT/SOUL
take a STAND and set STANDARDS
there are two kinds of people -
those who wait for something to happen
and
those who MAKE it HAPPEN
put away feelings of -
fear
uncertainty
concern
weariness
BE DECISIVE
if we make mistakes
just remember
they are MARVELOUS
STEPPING STONES to GROWTH!!!
don’t give up
don’t walk away
don’t let anything hold us back
don’t wait for others to cheer
don’t follow the crowd
REMAIN -
FIRM
STEADFAST
IMMOVABLE
FOCUSED
let’s live our lives
WHOLEHEARTEDLY
DEDICATED to what we LOVE
our PURPOSE is only FULFILLED

SELF ANALYZING
i’ve been SELF-ANALYZING…
yesterday i had jury duty
which gave me 9 1/2 hours
to stop and think
i must say…
it was time well spent
after nearly 10 years
at a very stressful job
(although it was truly
financially rewarding)
i began to compare
MY LIFE NOW
compared to then
i’ve been unemployed for
7 1/2 DELIGHTFUL months
i left on VALENTINE’S DAY
the DAY of LOVE 
which was purposely done…
i lived in a workplace
where things were VALUED
more than PEOPLE
now i realize i did GIVE to others
a LEGACY of -
JOY
LAUGHTER
LOVE
HUMOR
but i was a misfit to the
so-called “corporate world” 
yes people LOVED my inner SOUL
because it flowed through my SPIRIT
in the form of -
LOVE
JOY
LAUGHTER
HILARITY
my BODY in turn EMBRACED
others with the same
i call it all -
EMBRACE POSITIVE PASSION !!!
some did not like it
others CRAVED it…
those who disliked it
loved material things
those who CRAVED it
LOVED PEOPLE
interesting…i spoke TRUTH
which was not popular
now i’m living a life of DISCOVERY
each day is VALUABLE
and all those material items -
yes they bring pleasure for a season
but INVESTING in people
now that’s ETERNAL !!!
so i sign off saying
THANK YOU – LORD
for SHOWING me YOUR WAY
EACH and EVERY DAY !!!

SERVING
GIVING
LOVING
all are a PATHWAY to JOY
selfishness leads to unhappiness
most people believe
getting what they want brings
JOY
FULFILLMENT
CONTENTMENT
but the human being
never has enough
there is always something missing
the PURPOSE of LIFE is -
to SERVE
show COMPASSION
HELP others
GIVE KINDNESS
all the above rids depression
it gets our minds off ourselves
never be in a hurry
be FRUITFUL
not merely busy
have a PURPOSE
EMBRACE our PURPOSE with
a POSITIVE PASSION
if we start to feel unhappy
then let’s ask ourselves -
what have i been doing for others
this will locate the root of our sad feelings
be the one to put SMILES
on the faces of others
be on the PATHWAY of JOY

and there are
ETERNAL things – people
don’t make the mistake of -
placing your worth
giving too much attention to
feeding your life on
temporal things
they have a short life span
they grow old and useless
people being ETERNAL
should never be viewed as old or useless
as people age we see -
WISDOM
BEAUTY
UNDERSTANDING
LOVE
don’t dispose of an older person
offer -
LOVE
GENTLENESS
JOY
when we serve others instead of things
we are truly using our inner SOULS
our reward is a SMILE
a reminder we have given JOY
being a BLESSING to others
is a KEY to keeping ENTHUSIASM
the impact is ETERNAL significance
instead of temporal purposelessness
may our SOULS be full of BEAUTY
allowing it to overflow into our SPIRITS
as our BODIES embrace others with LOVE
deeds of -
JUSTICE
TRUTH
GOODNESS
will go on for ETERNAL purposes

Amen G!! Very well put. God has us where we are for as long as we are for a reason and a season. What we do with our “placement” in life is our choice. You have always been one to shine in whichever corner you are in. Love you and your positive influence on others.
I loved my job and some of the people I met through my work yet there were those who wanted to suck the life out of me, too! Those who wanted to control me and stop my success out of jealousy. I made my impact with those who suffered and I gave them uplifting energy and counsel, so I know that I left that world a better place. Now that I am retired, I can seek those who are life-giving and avoid the others. Truly freedom.
