GREED
GREED is an enemy
many don’t realize
causes an unhappiness -
a detriment to your -
PASSION
POSITIVITY
PURPOSE
GUARD against GREED
it takes away your FREEDOM
it causes covetousness
that evil desire of unhealthy wealth
taking away from others
longing to have more and more
no matter the cost
your life can be taken
at any moment
then…what good
is all your “stuff”
be a BLESSING by GIVING
in return you will be -
ABUNDANTLY BLESSED
if you have the means to GIVE
don’t be GREEDY
wanting more and more…
you will eventually lose it all
earth is a temporary journey
so ENJOY the RIDE
when you are on your deathbed
will you ask -
how much money do i have
how much “stuff” do i have
NO
you will want to have -
the COMFORT of family
the CONTENTMENT of friends
there is nothing wrong with
having BEAUTIFUL material things
but do not allow them to
take the place of PEOPLE
be a GIVER of -
LOVE
JOY
BEAUTY
KINDNESS

as the MOMENTS of the DAY
turn to HOURS
am i EMBRACING these MOMENTS
with a POSITIVE PASSION…
PASSION is more than a feeling
when i feel less
i risk less
PASSION is the way to approach life
i desire to do all i do
with a POSITIVE PURSUIT

anything half-hearted is lame
i will not be pleased

MY ROADMAP
life is like a ROADMAP
so many routes
which to choose
where to go
there are MOUNTAINS to climb
VALLEYS to stroll
OCEANS to sail
DESERTS to go through
WETLANDS to navigate
PLAINS to cross
my PASSION is my FUEL
my POSITIVITY is my COMPASS
without my PASSION i’m empty
without my POSITIVITY i’m lost
GOD made my SOUL
to be FULL of PASSION
i cannot continue on an empty tank
GOD allows my SPIRIT
to be FULL of POSITIVITY
which gives me the ENTHUSIASM
to know my way
GOD equips my BODY
with a SPARK that keeps me going
a STRONG desire to reach for
something beyond myself
sometimes the route is tough
but i must check my FUEL tank
and keep my COMPASS steady
accept my terrain as it comes to me
my life is too short to waste…
i LOVE my ROADMAP

BARRIERS
where i live
it is extremely hot
each day the heat index is way over 100+
today i found myself
building barriers
now you may be saying
what does heat have to do
with building barriers…
today was going FAB
on my walk to the gym
i became hot
i mean really hot
remember that heat index 
then i’m really rockin’ on the treadmill
this young guy comes in -
blares the sound system
bangs each weight machine
briskly pacing the floor
huffing and puffing
duh…are we having a
TESTOSTERONE problem here!!!
go ahead LAUGH
i wasn’t LAUGHING at the time
but looking back it is FUNNY
i began to erect barriers
to protect myself
resentment
anger
tension
now when i do this
these negaitive barriers
come right along with me
as i am walking home
that heat index seems to be RISING
barriers are becoming HIGHER
an hour goes by…
i say to myself
enough is enough
having a cool shower and drink
my barriers begin to crumble
i can choose to SUIT my tempermant
to my circumstances
yes it’s hot
yes there’s toxic TESTOSTERONE…
GOD LOVE those MEN
but hey that’s LIFE
LIVE it LIGHTLY
LAUGH OUT LOUDLY
and above all the rest
LINGER POSITIVELY

our world is becoming
EXTREMELY small
we can be in touch via
internet
texting
phone call
cyberspace
faxing
(just to name a few)
within SECONDS…
but are we losing something…
something that is EXTREMELY
PRECIOUS
VALUABLE
ENDEARING
DESIRABLE
when was the last time
you sat with a close friend
and truly had a -
DEEP
INSPIRING

IMPASSIONED

do we take the time

this world is fast-paced
totally chaotic
bringing unwanted stress
