as i am pondering my life
i wonder where time as gone
sometimes it seems to pass me by
oh the brevity of life

the BEAUTY of SPRING is here
FLOWERS continue to ENCHANT me
they are a symbol for many occasions
so many roads i have traveled

have i truly noticed the BEAUTY
have i EMBRACED special moments
have i been POSITIVE in all situations
have i been filled with a PASSION for life

yes the reason i began to write
was to be FOCUSED on the PRESENT
to LEARN the POSITIVE from my past
to live PASSIONATELY

we are all traveling different paths
sometimes they are quite rocky
but each pebble has something to teach us
it’s not easy but GROW we must

decisions to be made
but just remember
SPRING comes each NEW YEAR
full of BEAUTIFUL flowers

each flower had to break through the rocky soil
each one contains its own RADIANCE
so as you EMBRACE this moment
look for the POSITIVE with PASSION

A VERY SPECIAL VALENTINE

it came to my mind
as i pondered this VALENTINE’S DAY
a day to CELEBRATE LOVE

but shouldn’t i be doing this EVERYDAY
it’s LOVELY one day is set aside
just for LOVE
but everyday is SPECIAL

actually everyday is a GIFT
a very DIVINE GIFT
to be EMBRACED
with POSITIVE thoughts

am i living my days with a PASSION
do i continually show LOVE
i KNOW i NEED LOVE
is it flowing from me

GOD represents LOVE
GOD is LOVE
GOD dwells within us
GOD never leaves us

so as i continue to reflect

MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS DEAR ONES

i’ve worked the past 15 HOLIDAY SEASONS
yet this year i am extremely BLESSED
my time is mine to ENJOY each moment
giving THANKS for the LOVELY festivities

being an avid reader
today i decided to go to my favorite bookstore
enjoy a yummy STARBUCKS cappuccino
browse and EMBRACE my LOVE for books

while there i was amazed
so many people were disenchanted
where was the HOLIDAY JOY
the SPIRIT of GIVING

i wondered why…
isn’t this the season to GIVE
to show your LOVE
being COMPASSIONATE to others

parents upset with children
unhappy children and teens
when did society become so materialistic
what happened to the GIVING of JOY

very few people i saw were HAPPY
rushing and full of discontentment
is this a MERRY CHRISTMAS
things have taken the place of KINDNESS

may this be a reminder to all of us
to EMBRACE each moment
be POSITIVE to others
giving PASSIONATE JOY to all

A HEART OF PEACE

SPIRITUAL PEACE is not an absence of turmoil
it is an extraordinary GOD-GIVEN GIFT
GOD desires to NURTURE your SOUL
allowing a SPIRIT of SERENITY

HIS PEACE provides STRENGTH

having the FAITH and COURAGE
to continue to move FORWARD

when you are ACCEPTING your circumstances
you allow ACCEPTANCE to reside within you
